The **SNORKEL REEF XPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL** tour offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover the wonders of **"The Great Mayan Reef"**, a magnificent marine ecosystem that stretches over 1,000 km, from the pristine shores of Contoy Island at the northern tip of the Yucatán Peninsula to the vibrant waters of Honduras. This vast reef system, the largest in the Western Hemisphere and the second largest in the world, is a sanctuary for marine biodiversity, hosting over 65 species of stony corals, 350 species of mollusks, and more than 500 species of vibrant and diverse fish.

This tour is designed to immerse you in the heart of this underwater paradise, guided by our experienced and certified snorkeling professionals who will ensure a safe and unforgettable experience. You will visit two carefully selected reef locations, each offering a unique and stunning perspective on the reef’s rich biodiversity and vibrant underwater landscapes.

Departure Point: Kay Club at Bahia Petempitch

INCLUSIONS:

  • Snorkeling at 2 reef locations, duration: 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  •  First stop: Shallow reef (40 minutes in the water).
  • Second stop: Deep reef (40 minutes in the water).
  •  Full equipment: mask, life vest, fins, and a new, sealed snorkel tube.
  • Dry snacks on board.
  • Drinks on board (soft drinks and water).
  • Medical expense insurance and civil liability coverage.

EXCLUSIONS:

  • Dock and marine park usage fee: $20 USD (to be paid by the passenger upon registration).
  • Photographs.
  • Tips.
  • Towels.
  • Transportation from your Hotel to the meeting point, departures at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
  • Maximum capacity: 10 passengers per session.

 

OBSERVATIONS

  • Infants aged 1 to 4 years do not pay and must remain on board the vessel with a responsible adult.
  • Children aged 6 to 11 are eligible for the child rate. Minors participating in the snorkeling activity must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • Only biodegradable sunscreen is allowed and must be applied 30 minutes before departure. 
  • All sales require a reservation. 
  • When booking, please provide your hotel name, lobby, room number, and confirm the pick-up time. 
  • The itinerary may be subject to last-minute changes due to weather and/or logistical conditions, always prioritizing the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of our passengers.

  • Equipment distribution.
  • First stop at a shallow reef (approximately 40 minutes in the water).
